Camtasia program is a video-based screen capturing software program. It’s similar as using video camera to record your screen. This software is installed on your computer and it allow your screen capture to be directly recorded to a digital, because it has a higher quality audio. Camtasia Studio can also be chosen whether you will capture the entire screen,or specific window.

Camtasia was mainly designed for creating software tutorials. For example, if you want to show or teach other people how to use google sketch up, photoshop, or any other softwares, you can use Camtasia to record your screen while you are doing it, and post it in youtube when you are done. This would allow many other people to view your video in youtube. It could be very useful for those who doesn’t know how to use the software, like some kids might don’t know how to use Microsoft Word, then you can show them by using Camtasia to record your screen.

There are many applications in Camtasia Studio as well. After you finish recording your screen, you can save and edit it. You can use “cut” to cut out the parts that you don’t want. You can use “Split” if you want to divide a single video clip into two or more clips. There is “callout” for you to add words or texts. And also “zoom-n-pan” for you to zoom any area that you want. You can also add picture or music in the video as well. These are just some example of the applications the Camtasia has. Your video could become better by using these things.

After finish editing the video, you can choose whether to “save project” or “produce and share”. For “save project”, you are saving the file into a Camtasia project file, and you are allow to edit it whenever you want to. While “produce and share” are making the project as one video file which you can be able to view in any video player available. For me, I think Camtasia Studio is very useful. By using it, you can add many things to your video and make it more interest. You can create tutorials to teach many people.
