The reason I pick this water source

The water I choose is “school drinking water”, the reason I choose this is because I drink school water everyday, therefore I really want to find out is it clean or not. It’s important to know because not only me drinking it, but all the students, including some teachers drink it too.

3. Reflection following the guiding points below:

  • How is this workshop connected to our class and what we have been learning?
It can connected to our class in many ways because it’s all about saving the environment / nature. What Mr.Kenny did was to inspire people not to hurt the environment. He travel by using bicycle that made from bamboo instead of steel, this shows that he is trying not to harm the environment as much as possible which is what we are been doing in class as well. We have been learning to be “sustainability” meaning living within the means of our environment and ensuring that our lifestyle doesn’t harm other people.
  • What does it mean to do all this? Is it only for people who have too much time to spend/waste?
The reason behind all these actions is to inspire people to work together in order to save the environment and nature. Because our world is become worse due to the climate change, therefore, we are raising awareness to let people know how the world is going on. So people could start take action in saving the environment by recycling, reduce plastic, reducing pollution, etc.
This is not only for people who have too much time to spend/waste, but for people who see the important of environment/nature and our future.
  • Personal level: what have you connected the most with today’s workshop? What is your next step? Pick one of your “what you love” and pick one “what you care about”.
What I connected the most is what Mr.Kenny said about nowadays’ kids who spend time indoor more than outdoor which is true because I’m also out of them. And I think we should try to spend more time doing activities outdoor.
    What I love: Traveling
What I care: Children / Orphanage
    Connection:
Travel to different places where children / orphanage need helps / facing difficulties to help them.
  • Class level: how did we as a class participate and involve in the workshop? Did we respect the learning environment and our guest speaker?
We did listen to his presentation and involve in the activity that he gave in class, but we didn’t really give much comment and feedback to him. However, we all respect the learning environment and our guest speaker.
